Carrosserie & Lackierwerk Ludwig AG has not only worked on the 2-million-franc luxury bike by Bucherer but has also perfected 3,000 other gleaming Harley-Davidsons for the customizer “Bündnerbike.” Every day, they fulfill requests related to classic cars and daily drivers—whether it’s repairs, aesthetic upgrades, or flawless repainting after an accident. These extensive services were brought to the attention of insurance companies to ensure that accident vehicles, in particular, increasingly find their way to Ludwig’s workshop. A surprising direct marketing campaign was created to achieve this. It began with a classic direct mail piece: a heavily damaged toy car, accompanied by the message to visit Ludwig’s for help with even the “smallest damages.” Paired with a landing page and targeted follow-up from Ludwig’s team, success was all but guaranteed!
